Stuff.co.nz is the biggest media website in New Zealand and we are now in need of a skilled DevOps Engineer to join us and help us along our journey to an end-to-end focused engineering team.
You'll be working in our Audience Network domain enabling the development of new products as well as supporting existing delivery tooling and helping standardise practices across the wider Product group. You will be a DevOps thought leader and help shape our development team's mindset and practices.
To succeed in this role, you need to have experience in:
- Spinning up complex environments inside AWS using a range of Amazon products
- Designing and updating CI/CD pipelines alongside developers
- Configuring analytics and metrics systems
But technical skills aren't the be all and end all, we are looking for people who have the right attitude and an end-to-end view of software development; from first commit to the end user. Collaboration across different products, teams and geographical locations is a must.
You'll breath automation and be focused on technical excellence, striving everyday to build systems you're proud of and assist the business deliver products & services the right way. You'll be pragmatic and favour free, as in freedom software, but able to choose a proprietary solution when it makes sense.
Working at NZ's largest multi-media company, you'll need to be business-aware and able to get stuff done across multiple business units.
The role is based in our Auckland office fitted out with modern technology and surrounded by great food and coffee locations, including our very own onsite barista.
